Dr Sheena Geness offers a wide range of services catering for every member of the family, from babies to adults, male and female. We accept all medical aids as well as cash paying patients at affordable rates. We focus on patient orientated care and pride ourselves with providing health care to diverse communities. All childhood vaccines are catered for according to the Department of Health Immunization Schedule.
The practice also stocks flu vaccines and has registered to be a Covid19 vaccination site.
Dr Sheena Geness has completed the Sisonke Covid19 Vaccination course and is a QUALIFIED COVID19 VACCINATOR.
Dr Sheena Geness has 20 years of experience in managing HIV positive patients. We provide pre and post test counselling and HIV TESTING AND TREATMENT.
Patients can feel free to consult in a private
setting with regular follow ups and blood tests.
We provide PRE EXPOSURE AND POST EXPOSURE PROPHYLAXIS, HIV
management during pregnancy and family planning for HIV positive patients.
Dr Sheena Geness has a strong focus on gynaecology and provides leading first line care to females of all ages. The practice provides FAMILY PLANNING for women and girls, including oral contraceptives, injectables and intrauterine device insertion. We also provide CERVICAL CANCER screening (PAP SMEARS) and BREAST CANCER screening. We are fully equipped to provide treatments for SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES (STD’s) including cauterization of warts. Dr Sheena Geness is also registered with the HPCSA to perform TERMINATIONS OF PREGNANCY. In cases of gender based violence we also complete J88 forms.
Over the years we have successfully assisted couples struggling to fall pregnant by providing a comprehensive screen of possible causes and provision of infertility treatment.
We can provide treatments for a wide range of dermatological
conditions including ACNE, ECZEMA and infections of the skin. We also provide
post operative suture removal and wound care.
Dr Sheena Geness provides in room consultations with patients suspected of having COVID19 and continued management of all COVID19 patients for the 10 days of isolation. The Practice is a COVID 19 testing site. Dr Geness has completed the FPD course on COVID19, TB & HIV.
Dr Sheena Geness Practice provides exceptional antenatal
care for PREGNANT patients. We can provide ULTRASOUNDS for dating and gender
reveal purposes, together with the provision of pregnancy vitamins.
Men suffering with SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES, ERECTILE
DYSFUNCTION and PREMATURE EJACULATION are welcome to consult for adequate
management and optimal health care. We also provide PROSTATE CANCER screening
and INFERTILITY screening.
The practice is equipped with a wide range of medication that will be dispensed on the completion of your consultation.
We provide care for a wide range of illnesses including: Diabetes Clinic, Hypertension Clinic, Cardiovascular Diseases (ECG’S), Hyperlipidaemia (Cholestrol Problems), Gout and Obesity, (Weight loss programs and treatment).
At Dr Sheena Geness Practice, we can perform minor in house
surgical procedures that include INCISION & DRAINAGE OF ABSCESSES,
D&C’s, CAUTERIZATION, NAIL AVULSION, REMOVAL OF SUTURES, SYRINGING OF
EARS, LOOP INSERTIONS, etc.
The practice facilitates health promotion by providing
annual general examinations and is fully equipped to complete insurance medical
including performing ECG’S. Being located within a medical centre has enabled
us to provide rapid turnaround diagnostic time with easy acess to XRAYS and
BLOOD PATHOLOGY TESTING.
